BNB Pool Update - DeHub's journey to recover 876 BNB stuck from 2022 contract issue

## The Road to Recovery: Our 876 BNB Journey

Back in 2022, we overcame a contract issue which resulted in 876 BNB being stuck in our old pool. What started as a technical setback became a testament to our community's resilience and our team's unwavering determination to never give up on our holders.

Although we successfully migrated and relaunched, it was largely due to our incredibly supportive community and the team's relentless dedication. The challenges we faced could have ended many projects, but DeHub has always been built different—we don't quit, we adapt, overcome, and emerge stronger.

### The Technical Context: What "Unlocked" Really Means

The 876 BNB is now officially "unlocked" from a technical standpoint. However, the funds are still stuck as our contract won't let us withdraw, though the pool is unlocked. Recovering these funds requires coordination with the broader Binance ecosystem and their quarterly burn processes.

This isn't simply a matter of pressing a button—it involves complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders and requires approval from decision-makers who control the burn mechanisms that could facilitate our recovery.

## Building Bridges: Our Partnership Journey

In order to recover the BNB now, we've met with numerous members of the BNB / Binance / Labs team over the years, who agreed it was fair to give us our BNB from Binance's quarterly burns, considering our pool as burned, and would try to help us convince the final decision makers.

### The Conversations That Matter

These weren't casual meetings or surface-level discussions. We've engaged in deep, technical conversations with:

Each conversation has moved us closer to a resolution, building understanding and support for our position within the broader BNB ecosystem.

### Recognition of DeHub's Impact

As one of the top performing assets of the last cycle, growing from 0 to hundreds of millions, driving well over $30m in total volume on BNB, giving back over $1m to tens of thousands of holders, few better communities deserve assistance.

## The Scale of Support: Putting 876 BNB in Perspective

Every quarter, Binance burns roughly 1m BNB on average, with less than 1/1000th required to make DeHub whole again. This puts our request in proper perspective—we're not asking for something unreasonable or unprecedented.

### The Math That Matters

The 876 BNB represents such a small fraction of the quarterly burn that supporting our recovery would have virtually no impact on Binance's token economics while making an enormous difference to our community and ecosystem.

## Advanced Discussions: Where We Stand Today

We are in advanced meetings with the BNB / Binance / Labs team as we try and recover the LP, and will provide further updates as and when we can. These discussions have evolved from initial explanations to detailed implementation planning.

### Current Status

While we can't share every detail of ongoing negotiations, we can confirm:

The complexity of these discussions requires patience, but we're encouraged by the progress and the level of engagement from all parties involved.

## What Next? Community-Driven Decision Making

### If the BNB is Recovered

If the BNB is recovered, we will open a governance poll on dehub.io to decide as a community what to do with the funds in order to maximize growth, users and revenue.

This isn't just about getting our BNB back—it's about what we do with this recovered value to benefit the entire DeHub ecosystem. Potential options the community might consider include:

### If the BNB is Not Recovered

If the BNB is not recovered, it's business as usual and we continue strongly, as we have for the past 3+ years, never slowing down, never quitting.

Our success has never been dependent on recovering these funds. While the recovery would certainly provide additional resources for growth, DeHub's core strength lies in:

## The DeHub Difference: Why We Deserve Support

### A Track Record of Excellence

Our journey from a 2022 contract issue to becoming one of the top-performing assets demonstrates exactly why the BNB ecosystem should support our recovery:

  1. Crisis Management: We turned a potential disaster into a comeback story
  2. Community First: Every decision prioritizes our holders and users
  3. Ecosystem Contribution: We consistently add value to BNB Chain through volume and activity
  4. Innovation Leadership: We push boundaries and introduce new concepts to DeFi
  5. Long-term Thinking: We build for sustainability, not quick profits

### More Than Just Numbers

While our $30+ million in volume and $1+ million in community rewards are impressive, they represent something deeper: a commitment to creating real value and sharing that value with our community. This philosophy is why recovery efforts have gained such strong support within the Binance ecosystem.

## Looking Forward: Strength Through Unity

Regardless of the outcome of our recovery efforts, DeHub's future remains bright. We've proven that we can overcome any challenge when our community and team work together. The 876 BNB represents more than just stuck funds—it's a symbol of our resilience and determination.

### Our Commitment Continues

Whether we recover these funds or not, our commitment to the DeHub community remains unchanged:

## The Next Chapter

The story of our 876 BNB recovery is still being written. What we know for certain is that DeHub will continue to thrive, grow, and serve our community regardless of the outcome. We've come this far through challenges that would have stopped lesser projects, and we're just getting started.

Stay tuned for updates as this important chapter in DeHub's history unfolds. Together, we've built something extraordinary—and together, we'll continue reaching new heights.

The road to recovery may be complex, but our destination remains clear: building the best possible ecosystem for our community while contributing meaningfully to the broader landscape on BNB Chain.
